Dear Robin,

It’s been a long time since we exchanged letters. In this letter I am giving you a wonderful experience of my camping trip.

I, along with six schoolmates, were camping in Bir, Himachal Pradesh. It was a seven day journey. We went to Delhi by train and after staying for a day left for Bir early in the morning by bus and reached there in the evening. We camped in the forest. The nights were mostly clear and we enjoyed the beauty of the moon, stars and sky, it was wonderful to see the night sky as there was not a single bit of pollution in the hilly area. We even sat around the campfire and told stories and jokes.

We went on long walks and trekked. The natural beauty of this place is really worth seeing. Bir is surrounded by deodar trees and a small river flows, which runs through valleys and hills. Since this place is very calm and quiet, we could hear the chirping of birds and movement of water very clearly.

It was really a great time for all of us. Hope you can join us. We will plan similar camping trips again when you visit Ahmedabad next time.
